Use for Music Only
I got this tablet to replace an old Samsung that finally petered out after X years. Although the new screen is a bit smaller that the old one, it works fine for my purpose. I have it permanently plugged in our bathroom so we can listen to music. Sometimes I use the speakers installed in the tablet, but usually I go with a pair of Bluetooth speakers attached to the mirror. As expected, the tablet speakers are just okay, but the Bluetooths are fine.

Fourth Fire Tablet - the best so far
The high resolution screen is large and very good with high def sources. However, anything less than high resolution sources will look poor. Very good for streaming movies and video documentaries. Much heavier than previous models - hand may fatigue from holding over a prolonged time. Protective case/cover does not have a hand strap. Faster start up and response compared to previous 8” tablet. A must have for kids like mine lol
Put it this way we live in a basement apartment and the floor is painted concrete. My children both got one for Christmas and love them. But when they get angry they throw anything and they've been throwing these tablets left and right on the walls and on the floor and still not a single crack or malfunction. They came super quick too I only ordered a week before Christmas and they were here before Christmas. The tablets have gone through hell and back and still look the same as they arrived. Only downside is they are a little difficult to clean but I'd rather deal with that then a broken tablet.

I brought this as an gift for one of my games at my engagement party and it was a hit! So far the winner has had it for a month with no problems. Adore this tablet For my 4 year old!
The product is so cute, I love the case and when you open the tablet to set it up it is super easy. Everything in the trablet was kid themed already and since it’s the princess edition I feel like it leaned more towards princess apps too! I set this up for my daughter before Christmas and had absolutely not trouble. I bought on Black Friday for a really reasonable price. This makes road trips easier knowing my daughter has solid entertainment. The only thing that confused me was when I was looking at buying the tablet it said you can connect zoom for people to be able to FaceTime your child but when I downloaded zoom it did not have a kid addition so I made an account for both of us to share so I could still monitor.

Way nicer than my old 6th gen Ipad!
This thing is nice! The m1 chip is probably overkill, but I dont care. Compared to my old 6th gen Ipad this thing rips. The only thing I wished it had was promotion for the screen. Not having 120hz seems sad in 2023. I also want to comment on the fact I bought this from amazon warehouse in condition used - good. I took a risk since there was no other details about the condition. I will say this thing looks and feels new. It did not come with the original box, but it came with all the correct accessories. Really happy with it, but if you are looking at one used just know ymmv.

This is an awesome gift to a toddler! My 18 month old loves it! Got it for a Christmas gift. Keeps her very engaged and busy. There's a multitude of games, educational apps, not to mention, netflix/prime video for toddlers who loves to watch movies. For those who are like, how do I stop my toddler from clicking out of a movie?? Well, for Netflix it's built in , so when the movie starts just click lock screen when you tap on the screen. On prime video and others you must go to your settings on tablet to👉 App pinning and turn it on for it to work, then once you have clicked on the video/movie, press the square in lower right of screen (the movie will minimize and a box will appear in top middle of the screen), tap that and you will see (pin) as an option. This tablet is wonderful. It’s not like the older fire tablets. Much faster response to touch and less lagging. Allows seamless play of games. The case is super durable and the built in stand is very convenient. As an iPhone user it’s a bit of an adjustment but most of the features are actually more functional than on apple. Better than I expected.
Wasn't sure what to expect w/ this tablet as I have always had Samsung tablets, this was my first experience with Amazon fire tablet. It took a little bit to get used to the interface but that is true with any new tablet. I like how it pairs up with my other Amazon-owned products (IE audibles, music, prime video). Alexa on this tablet works pretty well though had to turn it off since it was answering when I talked to my other Alexas. It's a hardy little tablet. It paired easily w/ my Bluetooth speakers, connects well with my wifi, and doesn't lag much at all. I don't like that amazon charges extra to have the ad-free version, though I did spring for it as I get tired of all the ads everywhere. I also don't like the ap store, not a lot of choices, while I do use prime and movies anywhere, it would have been nice to be able to download the Vudu ap through the ap store. Overall though I'm pretty satisfied with it and would probably buy it again.

Upgrades to latest Android
I love that during setup the OS automatically upgraded from Android 11, then 12, and finally 13 with no problems except the time it took to go through both of those updates. It synced flawlessly with my Samsung phone which also upgraded to 13 less than a month ago. The screen is quite as crisp as my phone but that doesn't matter to me; I only use this for reading ebooks, news, and email.

Awesome for playing Angry Birds 2 and for general use as well!
I absolutely love that the Fire HD 8 plus goes into gaming mode when you start a game, but I also really like that any in game ads are controlled by Amazon and not Google. Google has made it so trying to close an ad takes you straight to the play store over and over which is so frustrating! Anyway, the picture is great on the Fire HD 8 plus, and the sound quality is also very good. The response time is way better than I expected and I must say I am very pleased with the performance. I have a new Android tablet too, and honestly after using them both side by side, I must recommend the Fire Tablet over the Android. :)

Great device if you are more computer savvy than I am
I had an older version of the IPad and replaced it with this one. I had trouble from set up on until I became so frustrated I knew it was more than I could use. I requested a return and Amazon put me in touch with an Apple rep who told me how to prepare it for return. I returned it and was credited on my Amazon card.
